Baricinix 2 mg Tablet Baricitinib

baricinix 2 mg tablet is in a class of Janus Kinase Inhibitor, which is used in adult patients to treat severe to moderate rheumatoid arthritis. It is also used to treat atopic dermatitis, and corona virus patients with oxygen problem. Baricinix works by inhibiting janus kinase in rheumatoid arthritis patients who are suffering from joint pain and stiffing.

Baricinix Dose

• To treat rheumatoid arthritis patients should take 2 mg baricinix daily once by mouth. Continue till disease progression and discontinue in adverse side effect or intolerance.
• In alopecia areata treatment, recommended dose is 2 mg daily by mouth. Increase the dose at 4 mg baricinix if inadequate response achieved in 2 mg.
• To treat COVID-19 take 4 mg baricinix daily by mouth. Recommended  treatment duration is 14 days or hospital discharge which comes first.

Side effects

The most common and adverse side effects of baricinix are Upper respiratory tract infections, Increased ALT/AST, Nausea, Platelet elevations, Herpes zoster infection, Herpes simplex infection, Reported incidence less than placebo.

Pregnancy and Lactation

According to animal studies, Baricinix 2 mg tablet has the potential to affect a developing fetus. When pregnant rats and rabbits were given tofacitinib during organ development, it caused harmful effects on the fetus. These effects were observed at doses 146 times higher in rats and 13 times higher in rabbits than the standard human dose of 5 mg twice daily. In a study on rats, tofacitinib reduced litter size, pup survival, and body weight at doses about 73 times higher than the human dose of 5 mg twice daily.

It is recommended to use contraception for both male and female during taking Baricinix.

Women should not breast feed their children while taking Baricinix. If they must have to feed breast, they must consult with doctor and take decision whether they should take medicine or not.
