Cabozanix 20 mg (90 Capsules) is used to treat metastatic renal cell carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, and medullary thyroid cancer in adult patients. It is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, works by blocking the abnormal growth of proteins that stimulate cancer cells to multiply or spread in other parts of the body. At first, it was approved to treat metastatic medullary thyroid cancer, and later it got approval for renal cell carcinoma and hepatocellular carcinoma.

Cabozanix dose

• The recommended dose to treat renal cell carcinoma and hepatocellular carcinoma is 60 mg Cabozanix daily without food until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity.
• Stop taking Cabozanix at least 28 days before any surgery, even dental surgery.
• Do not substitute tablets with capsules.
• Do not administer Cabozanix immediately before or after taking food. You should administer this drug at least 1 hour before and 2 hours after eating food.
• Take the capsule whole; do not chew or crush.
