Palboxen 125 mg (21 Capsules) is an endocrine based chemotherapeutic drug used to treat HR-positive and EGFR-2 negative advance breast cancer. It is also used to treat human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (EFGR-2) negative metastatic breast cancer in combination with

• An aromatase inhibitor in postmenopausal women as initial endocrine based therapy; or
• Fulvestrant in women with disease progression.

It works by inhibiting cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK4/CDK6) protein. By blocking those protein it reduce the proliferation of cancer cells in patients and slowdown the cancer growth.

Dosage and Administration

General schedule of Palboxen is daily once for first 21 days and then 28 days cycle. It is an oral medicine, patient can administrate this medicine with or without food according to doctor suggestion. General doses and modification are as follow

• First dose 125 mg daily once by mouth until disease progression
• First reduction is 100 mg daily once by mouth until disease progression
• Second reduction is 75 mg daily once by mouth until disease progression

Patient should discontinue this medicine if they can not take 75 mg of Palboxen daily. To change their dosage and administration, they must consult with their doctor. Exception administration may happen depending on patients situation.

Pregnancy and Lactation

Palboncent is harmful to pregnant women, it is advised not to administrate Palboxen in pregnant women. In case of breast feeding it is not recommended to take Palboxen or to stop feeding breast.

Side Effects

Adverse side effects experienced by women are WBC decreased, Neutrophils decreased, Neutropenia, Platelets decreased, infections, AST increased, ALT increased, Leukopenia, Fatigue, Nausea, Hair loss, Inflammation of the mouth and lips, Diarrhea, Anemia, Rash, Weakness/lethargy, Vomiting, Thrombocytopenia, Dry skin, Fever.
