—OUR STORY
In 2019, Dr. Ahmed Ahnaf was working as a clinical pharmacist in an oncology ward in Dhaka. Every week, he watched patients leave without their prescriptions — not because the medicines didn’t exist, but because they couldn’t afford them. Brand-name chemotherapy agents costing $12,000 abroad were available for $400 through legitimate generic manufacturers in Bangladesh — yet patients in Australia, Canada, and the UK had no safe, legal pathway to access them.
After two years of research, regulatory consultation, and building relationships with WHO-approved manufacturers, Onus Pharma was founded in 2021 with a single purpose: to bridge the global medicine access gap for patients with cancer and life-threatening conditions.
"The price of a medicine should never determine who lives and who doesn't."
—Ahmed Ahnaf, Founder
Today, Onus Pharma serves over 2,000 patients across 80+ countries, working directly with oncologists, patient advocacy groups, and hospitals to ensure the most vulnerable patients receive authentic medicines with the clinical oversight they deserve.
OUR MISSION
We exist to eliminate the financial barrier between patients and the medicines that can save their lives — providing authentic, affordable pharmaceuticals with the clinical transparency and regulatory rigour that every patient deserves.
OUR VISION
We envision a global pharmaceutical landscape where every oncology patient — regardless of where they live or what they earn — has access to the same quality of medicine available to patients at the world’s leading cancer centres.
—CORE VALUE
From the way we source medicines to the way we speak with patients — our values are not aspirations. They are operational standards.
We never compromise on medicine authenticity or regulatory compliance — even when it means a longer process, higher cost, or saying no to a supplier.
Every medicine comes with full supply chain documentation. You know exactly who manufactured it, where it came from, and how it was stored and shipped.
Every operational decision — from supplier selection to packaging — is made through a single lens: does this protect the patient? If the answer is no, we don't do it.
Affordable pricing is not charity — it is our business model. We work directly with manufacturers to remove unnecessary intermediaries and pass savings to patients.
We understand that behind every order is a person fighting for their life, and a family fighting alongside them. We treat every interaction with the care that reality deserves.
We hold ourselves to the standard of the world's best hospital pharmacies — rigorous quality control, precise documentation, and continuous improvement at every stage.

—Patient Trust
Trust in a pharmacy is not given. It must be earned through consistent action, transparency, and a demonstrable commitment to patient welfare above profit.
We purchase directly from WHO-prequalified and FDA/EMA-registered manufacturers — eliminating grey market risk and ensuring medicines have never left a verified cold chain.
Every medicine is individually serialised. You can verify authenticity through the manufacturer's track-and-trace portal using the batch number we provide.
Full pharmaceutical CoA documentation — confirming identity, potency, purity, and stability — is provided with every single order, without exception.
Every order is reviewed and signed off by a named, licensed pharmacist whose credentials are verifiable. You always know which pharmacist approved your medicines.
